Before joining the PaymentCloud team, Amanda generated in-house and promotional content for several agencies, primarily in the podcast and business marketing space. Amanda understands how to leverage a brand's strengths and target its consumer base through SEO optimization, performance analytics, and engaging story structure. Having written in many different mediums, Amanda is adaptable and learns new technologies and concepts quickly.
Amanda completed her Bachelor’s degree in Theater at Occidental College and further honed her creative skillset with a Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington. She focused on proofreading, copy editing, and developmental editing. A Los Angeles native and film buff, Amanda has been a semi-finalist and finalist in numerous screenwriting competitions, such as the Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition and the Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition, and also won Best Horror Micro Short at the Oregon Scream Week Film Festival.
Professionally, she has written and researched for the workplace trends podcast Survive & Thrive and has created evergreen content for numerous businesses in the form of podcast scripts, podcast show notes, social media copy, blogs, and animated explainer videos. Some of her past clients include Q’d Up Audio Services, American Greetings, Demoflick, the award-winning outdoor games company Starlux Games, and Pocket FM, where she was part of a promo campaign that led to thousands of downloads for the audio drama app. She is an ongoing contributor to Women Who Podcast Magazine and the graphic novels for Nickelodeon’s The Loud House and Casagrandes. Always a storyteller, Amanda’s main strength is finding what’s unique about a topic or brand and ensuring it resonates with its intended audience.
