Frequently Asked Questions

The default admin password for the Ingenico Desk/3500 is 999999.

For WiFi:

  1. Press the circle button right below the screen.
  2. Use the down arrow to highlight “TETRA ADMIN” and hit the green button.
  3. Select “CONFIGURE WiFi.”
  4. Select “SCAN NETWORKS.”
  5. Choose the network of your choice.
  6. Once connected, you will see the WiFi icon at the top of the screen.

 

For Ethernet:

  1. Connect the Ethernet cable to the terminal and connect the other side of the cable to an Ethernet port.
  2. Once connected, your terminal will automatically connect and a green icon will appear to indicate an active connection.
  3. If the Ethernet icon shows white, your terminal is not connected. In that case, be sure to double check that your Ethernet port has an active IP connection.

Try the following for communication errors:

  1. Turn the Ingenico terminal off for 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the SIM card.
  3. Replace the SIM card and turn the device back on.
  4. Leave the terminal alone for about 2 minutes and see if the network connectivity appears on its own.
  5. If it does not show, try manually connecting to a network.

If nothing seems to work, please contact your merchant service provider for assistance.

  1. Press the circle button right below the screen.
  2. Press “ADMIN MODE.”
  3. Enter password: t8432678
  4. Select “TETRA ADMIN.”
  5. Select “DATE/TIME.”
  6. Change date and time to the correct settings.

The Ingenico Desk/3500 will require thermal printer paper that is 2 ¼ in. wide and up to 50 ft. long.
